Membership
If you, like many others who join the Fellowship, are new to Unitarian Universalism, there are many opportunities for becoming better acquainted with the community and its guiding principles. The first step is to come to a service. Many people choose to attend several services and classes before taking the step to becoming a member. We invite you to do what you are most comfortable with.
Becoming a Member
The Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship offers a program to help you learn more about our unique faith.
If you find you agree with our principles, namely the freedom of religious belief and a generous acceptance of the diversity of beliefs among us, you may wish to join our Fellowship.
Joining the Fellowship includes the following:
• Signing the Membership Book
• Being at least 16 years of age or completing the Fellowship’s “Coming of Age” program
• Making a pledge of financial support to the Fellowship, based on individual ability. Each member privately chooses the amount to pledge based on their ability to pay. The suggested guidelines can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions sheet.
• We also hope that you get involved in a group or activity at the Fellowship. This helps you get to know others in the Fellowship and feel part of the community.
You are invited to become a member of the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and join others in this exciting and growing community. Here you will have a place where you can grow on your spiritual journey, where you can share both life’s happiest and saddest moments and where you can work together with others to bring peace and justice to the world.

UU Q&A
Do you have questions about the Fellowship? ... or about Unitarian Universalism? If so, ask a minister at a UU Q&A! Once a month, Jason Seymour, Interim Assistant Minister, and Marie Murton, Membership Coordinator, will be hosting informal information sessions for people looking for more information about who we are and what we do here at the Fellowship. We'll talk briefly about history, membership, and beliefs & practices.... leaving plenty of time for questions and discussion. Meetings are scheduled throughout the year at alternating times on Sunday mornings (so that no matter which service you attend, you won't have to miss it to attend a Q&A). See the current newsletter for specific dates and times.

This class is a wonderful opportunity to engage with new people, learn about the Fellowship and commune with others in the Fellowship community.
UU 201
Tuesdays, January 24, January 31, February 7
Facilitator: Jason Seymour, Interim Assistant Minister
There are three important facets of UU Theology: Unitarianism, Universalism and Community. First, we will explore our Unitarian
roots and the implications for this belief in our current world. Next we will delve into the history and contemporary implications of Universalism. Finally we will venture into the meaning of community—in our past and in the present. Then we will take a look at the future of Unitarian Universalism and your part in it. The class takes place over two nights in order to dig deeply into this fascinating path. Come and learn where you fit in to your chosen spiritual family, or the one you are considering for spiritual nourishment.
Please sign up in the lobby of the Fellowship or call 731-0849 for any of the classes offered. You may also sign up online here.
