The Rev. Roger Bertschausen serves as the Senior Minister of the Fellowship. He came here in 1990 as the Fellowship’s first settled minister. He loves this congregation and finds great meaning in being one of its ministers. Roger grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was very active in a liberal, non-denominational church. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 1985, and earned a Masters of Divinity degree at the University of Chicago in 1990. He served a UU congregation in Columbus, Indiana for a year and also worked as a chaplain in a drug and alcohol treatment center during that year. He keeps regular office hours and is also available by appointment. Contact him at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or 920-731-0849 x1.
The Rev. Dottie Mathews joined the FVUUF staff in August of 2006 as our Assistant Minister. In May of 2008, the congregation voted overwhelmingly to Call her as Associate Minister. Dottie had a successful career in business before recognizing her call to the ministry and she received her Master of Divinity degree with a Concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in May of 2006. Dottie moved to the Midwest from Los Angeles, California, the place of her birth, and where she raised her three (now adult) children. She resides in the Darboy area with her life partner, Rosie Geiser, and is delighted that her life unfolded such that she is able to serve this Fellowship where she first encountered the Unitarian Universalist faith. Bridget Kramer is our new Director of Religious Education. She has taught for eleven years at Seton Middle School.
In addition to teaching religion and other subjects at Seton, for three years she was the school’s drama director; prior to
that, she served for five years as the campus minister in addition to
her teaching duties. She has organized and directed many retreats for
children, youth and adults over the past eighteen years. She also
served as the youth minister for an urban ministry on Milwaukee’s east
side in the early 1990s. In addition to a BA in theater, English and
secondary education, she has a masters degree in liberation theology
and youth ministry. She and her husband Al and their three children
have been attending the Fellowship since September of 2007. She keeps regular office hours and is also available by appointment. Contact her at
