Adult Choir

The adult choir rehearses for approximately 1 hour weekly and performs at all services one weekend per month. No previous experience is necessary! Choir members enjoy being part of a musical community; they are not required to read music or have any vocal training. Rehearsals focus on choir music to be presented at the next month’s services; music is selected both for its musical and spiritual content. Interested singers (adults or youth in grades 7 and above) are welcome to visit any Thursday night to sing with us and explore the possibility of joining the choir.

Covenant Groups

A Covenant Group is a committed group of 6 to 10 persons who gather to explore spiritual topics and find fulfillment, inspiration, spiritual deepening, and connection. Groups meet for two hours once a month. They begin each session with a brief ritual, followed by check-in, topic discussion, check-out and closing ritual. The leaders keep the group on time and on topic. The groups discuss a topic such as love, loss, simplicity or whatever the group decides is timely for them.

UU Book Club

Monthly discussion of a fiction or non-fiction book of modest length. Books are chosen by members on a rotating basis, not with an eye to what the others’ usual interests are, but with an eye to what the selector thinks would be good for the others to read. (We avoid non-fiction books of a detailed, technical nature accessible only to specialized readers.) Members agree to make an honest effort to completely read books selected, and usually end up saying “thanks, I never would have read that on my  own.”
